Can MOSFLEX™ be used on aluminium and steel?

Yes. MOSFLEX™ is developed for aluminium profiles, powder-coated aluminium, stainless steel and painted metal surfaces. Because it is applied as a liquid, it follows channels, returns and corners in a single pass — geometry that taped film cannot cover cleanly — and it lifts away as one piece rather than dozens of strips.

It protects coated finishes from welding spatter, ferrous grinding dust, alkaline cement contact and the constant abrasion of stacking and assembly.

Aluminium Profiles

Mill and anodised finishes marked easily during transport and assembly.

Powder-Coated Aluminium

A factory-applied finish that cannot be touched up convincingly on site.

Stainless Steel

Brushed and polished finishes where fingerprints, dust and scratches all show.

Painted Metal Surfaces

Coated components that need to reach the end of installation looking new.

The Problem

What Damages Metal

Profiles are awkward to mask: every channel, return and corner is a place where taped film lifts or leaves a gap. A liquid coating follows the profile geometry in a single pass, covering details that tape cannot, and comes off as one piece rather than dozens of strips.

Hot particles landing on a coated profile burn into the finish and cannot be wiped away.

Ferrous dust settling on stainless or aluminium can corrode and stain if left in place.

Alkaline materials attack aluminium finishes; the longer they sit, the worse the mark.

Profiles are dragged, clamped and stacked — light mechanical abrasion is constant.

The Approach

How MOSFLEX™ Is Used Here

  1. Apply after the finish is complete

Coat the surface once it has reached its final condition — by brush, roller or airless spray — so the film protects a finished face, not an unfinished one.

  2. Leave it through the following trades

The cured film takes the dirt, splashes and light abrasion generated by the work happening around it.

  3. Peel at handover

Remove the film in one piece as part of your handover sequence. The surface underneath is preserved and the cleaning requirement is reduced.

Trial before you commit

Finishes within this group vary between suppliers. Always confirm adhesion and clean removal on a trial area of the actual surface before full application. Read the full application guide.
