Can MOSFLEX™ be used on facades and joinery?

Yes. MOSFLEX™ is developed for curtain wall systems, window and door frames, composite panels and PVC profiles. Facade elements are installed early and handed over late, and the film stays continuous across that exposure window instead of lifting at the edges the way taped sheet does.

It protects against plaster and render splash, paint overspray, and mortar and cement from blockwork around openings.

Curtain Wall Systems

Large assemblies installed early and exposed to every trade that follows.

Window & Door Frames

Detailed profiles surrounded by plastering, painting and sealing work.

Composite Panels

Factory-finished cladding where a replacement panel means a long lead time.

PVC Profiles

Light-coloured surfaces that show cement, adhesive and marker residue clearly.

The Problem

What Damages Facade & Joinery

Facade elements are installed early and handed over late. That long exposure window is exactly where taped film fails: it lifts at the edges, traps water, and leaves adhesive after weeks in place. A peelable coating stays continuous across the element and is removed in one deliberate operation at the end.

Wet plaster splashed on a frame sets hard and has to be chipped off.

Spray painting in the same zone drifts onto frames and panels.

Blockwork and screeding around openings splash the surrounding joinery.

Facades are installed early — the finish must survive months of following trades.

The Approach

How MOSFLEX™ Is Used Here

  1. Apply after the finish is complete

Coat the surface once it has reached its final condition — by brush, roller or airless spray — so the film protects a finished face, not an unfinished one.

  2. Leave it through the following trades

The cured film takes the dirt, splashes and light abrasion generated by the work happening around it.

  3. Peel at handover

Remove the film in one piece as part of your handover sequence. The surface underneath is preserved and the cleaning requirement is reduced.

Trial before you commit

Finishes within this group vary between suppliers. Always confirm adhesion and clean removal on a trial area of the actual surface before full application. Read the full application guide.
